PORRIDGE FOR EVERY DAY
Porridge is my favourite part of the day. Every weekday morning for nearly 9 months of the year I have it. Porridge is warm and cosy, it is good for you and keeps you full until at least 11AM in my experience. I think there are a lot of bad porridge’s out there and using anything but quick oats is a crime.
Ingredients
1 cup quick oats
1 1/2 Cup water
1/2 cup milk
pinch of salt
Toppings - Honey, PB, Berries - Anything you like!
Method
Cover the oats in the water and bring to the boil.
Reduce the water in the oats until almost evaporated.
Then add in the milk and stir just to bring back to the boil then take it off the heat.
Add in the salt.
Serve with all you fave toppings.
